In some of my searching I've read references to using anti-corrosion spray on aluminum wire. So I wanted to ask if this is necessary, if I did this is there any harm, and is this product appropriate for this purpose:

CRC 2-26 multi-purpose lubricant

Well, I guess that's the problem, not sure what the right stuff is and this is the stuff I found in the electrical section. At Home Depot. I'm not expecting to get a correct answer if I ask about this while I'm there either.

A little tip: When you terminate aluminum after you coat the ends of the wires with the stuff listed above, put some on the threads of the lug screws before you tighten them. This lubricates the threads and keeps from galling them up and stripping out.
