Hi, we are working on a project where the outside walls are framed at an angle (possibly 22.5%). We are wanting to add an exterior door. What is the best way to do so?
We could add a header and frame down, but doing so would transfer weight to the floor joists rather than exterior footings. We could potentially build it out, but then we have to add some sort of cantilever on the outside, with a small roof over the door.
What would be the best option??
I have attached a picture of roughly how its framed. It is a former church with high ceilings
