Wanted to hear you guys opinion on this one. New construction home, HVAC installer placed the furnace too close to the wall with the electric panel, not respecting the 36 inches code at the state I'm at. City inspector rejected, so they moved the furnace 6 inches away and angled the duct to the supply plenum - pictures attached.
Do you guys think that this would impact the system's efficiency by a good amount? My understanding is that it will impact, but not by a considerable amount.
This is bothering more than it should.
I should mention that it's a big ranch, and the baby room at the opposite side of the furnace is getting very little air flow. I ended up closing most of the duct registers. I can't help but blame it on the angle duct at the furnace, :vs_laugh:
