Hey guys - was wondering if there is a way to find out how many outlets/lightings are in one circuit?

Or would the appropriate way would be to turn off the breaker and see how many connections would be effected?

or is there some kind of budget friendly device that determines that

Turn the breaker off and test everything you suspect is on that breaker.
