Hi There,

I am having an issue with my furnace. It is leaking water inside and that water goes all the way to the bottom of the water heater to the floor. I opened up and connect the pipe to the water valve. Looks like the water completely not draining properly through the pipe. Its dripping (no clue) beside the valve and water stays inside of the furnace. I set up my thermostat at 71 degree Celsius. Now the temperature is -5 with windchill its feels like -10. Is there any one that can help me to solve this problem. I am going to really appreciate that.

regards

You mean hot water tank? If it's still leaking water, then you'll need a new tank. If you're trying to drain it, make sure the power/gas is off. Shut off the inlet valve, and outlet valve. If there is no outlet valve, to quicken the draining, you can open a hot water tap somewhere above the tank.

If you have gas fired tank, it will condensate when the water is cold, but should go away after some time. If your leak is more then a few drops here and there, and continues after no one has been using hot water for an hour, you have a leak.

Cheers!

71 degrees Celsius on room thermostat or is this indeed a water heater? 71 degrees Celsius is 160"degree F. So I don't think we are are talking a room thermostat here.
If it's a water heater, then it's set to high and you may be leaking water through the TPV valve ( e pressure in the tank is too high).
If it's a boiler, then 160 might be the low limit, where the boiler turns on the burner when the internal temp, drops below this. That would be normal for a old convention boiler design. The burner should go off when the boiler temp reaches 180.

Could be a European system. Just thought of that as I was about to send this off. If so, I claim ignorance on those systems and all of the above does not apply.

Otherwise I have no clue. We need a lot more information on the appliance you are talking about. Some pictures might help as well.
