Anyone know how I can tell if my two stage furnace is working on both stages? Unit is about two years old. I can't say I have ever noticed a difference in the output when the heat is running. Thanks.

If you watch the burners on low fire then watch on high fire you should be able to tell the difference. On low fire the inducer motor will sometimes run slower. You could also clock your gas meter with other gas appliances valved off. Do you have the correct t.stat for 2 stage ?

I have a Vision Pro 8000. I also noticed the unit has a red blinking light on when it is not in use. When it is making heat the light blinks faster.
Sounds wired wrong.

Or youo have a heat pump, that is having trouble.
And the light is flashing to tell youo to have it checked.

Look to see if they have a wire hooled to the L terminal.

Shouldn't have one.

the slow flashing led while off and fast while on is NORMAL if coming from blower cabinet in furnace.

does your furnace maintain temp at the thermostat? IE when set to 70 it maintains 70 in the house? If so why the question? if it is working then it is working. High or low stage matters not if you are maintaining temp.

Big difference in comfort between running in both stages, and only running in high stage.

Why pay a lot of money for a 2 stage that is only running in second stage.

How did this thread get so chopped up? When i replied was the first post.

Beenthere did you combine thread with a duplicate? My post looks totally out of context now.

Guy said he had an American Standard Comfortmaker which does not exist and I was trying to nail down exactly what he really had.
