I had a company instal a new furnace, coil and furnance. I was sold a Amana ocil and condensor and furnance, all on my invoice was a 4 ton.
But the company installed a 4 ton condensor and furnance, but a 3.5 ton coil. I was under the impression all of these items were Amana. This was back in 2005.
Now the coil has gone bad and I just discovered the company installed the 3.5 goodman coil not the Amana 4 ton we paid for!
The company wants to replace the coil with a 3.5 ton again because they said that's what Amana recommened. The company said back in 2005 that's what the manufacturer recommendeda dn that's why they changed it to 3.5 and want to replace it with a 3.5.
The condensor is a 10 SEER.
At this point I'm really skeptical to not go with the 4 ton but the company says it's okay to use a 3.5 ton.
How can I confirm that Amana said it's okay to use a 3.5 ton on this unit? Who can I call or get it in writing?
Is the Goodman coil compatiable with the Amana condensor??
Please help.
