All of my breakers are 20a, all of my switches and outlets in the house (minus bath gfci) are 15a.

Is this ok?

We moved in about two years ago, and during inspection they noted a federal pacific box, so we had a licensed master install a 200a outdoor square D service. I don't know what the breaker ratings were before.

Nearly everthing we use as homeowners incorporates a 15 amp plug or nema 5-15R configuration. Look around your house and you can prove this. Some things like exercise equipment that have motors and some window ac have 20 amp plugs. The receptacles needed for these have a T-slot for the neutral terminal and are nema 5-20R. They will accept both 5-15 and 5-20 plugs from power cords. So generally unless you have a specific designation on your electrical plan for a 5-20R you install 15 amp receptacles.

These 5-15 receptacles have 20 amp feed through in the event a 5-20R is on the 20 amp branch circuit. The rule is you can plug a 15 amp appliance into a 20 amp circuit with 5-15 receptacles protected by a 20 amp breaker and 12/2 w ground wiring. You cannot install 5-20 recetacles on a 15 amp branch circuit with a 15 amp breaker and 14/2 w ground. This would allow you to plug an appliaince into the circuit that would overload the circuit.
