I have to replace 8-10 windows - need aluminum for my bldg - i'm in a nyc pre-war high rise. All of the companies that come to measure and will be giving bids recommend either Champion or Crystal - both local NY-based manufacturers. I don't have a huge budget and these seem to be within my range. One company favors crystal and said he had lawsuit with Champion - another says he only uses Crystal for cheaper rental units! I've seen some bad reviews on this site for Crystal - but not sure if that's for the vinyl product. Any thoughts would be most appreciated. I have to replace immediately and I'm so confused. Don't know who to believe - these people who measured seem to have lots of integrity. Thanks in advance.
