Hi. When I came home from work today and turned on various faucets in my home, I noticed that there was air in the water lines. It was as if the main water supply to the house had been turned off during the day. However, we we werent home all day and I cant think of a reason why this would have happened. I have had a contractor doing some work here, but he said he was not here today.

So I am curious if there are other reasons why the pipes may have air in them? Could someone have been doing work on the water supply lines outside of my home? There was a significant temperature drop from yesterday (60 degrees) to today (below freezing)...maybe that is why? But of course we didn't notice anything this morning.

Thanks!

Did just some air come out then the water started flowing? Or is there still just air?
