I live in Texas and the AC blower inside has not started running 2 or 3 times over the past few months. The 1st time was while using the heat, and the last 2 times with the AC. I simply turn the unit off via the thermostat for say 15 minutes and then back on... and the inside air blower will start blowing again. I haven't gone into the attic as yet but I can hear the unit up there making some noise.

About 2 years ago, I replaced a starter capacitor on the compressor unit outside... now I'm wondering if that might be the same problem for the squirrel cage fan motor in the attic air handler. Should I just go buy a start capacitor for the air handler and replace that? Sounds like the logical thing to try but am looking for some more experienced advice.
