I went to clean out my outside air conditioner today. I took off the top grill to clean thoroughly inside and then replaced it with (what I thought was) no issues. After cleaning I noticed a buzzing noise when starting up that lessened, but still continued after start up.
I read that might be something loose - so I decided to straighten up the top grill again.
When I went to put the screw back in one of the holes it just spun. I tried the different screws and none of them worked in that hole, although they worked in the other holes. I think the hole might have rusted out or been corroded? Anyway - is there anyway to fix this myself - or will I need to call a professional? It's going to be 85 the next couple of days and we're going into a long weekend.
