Hello,
I am looking for a lockset for double doors on my home. Each door has 2 bores in them. I am assuming one door will have active lockset and the second one will have dummy lockset.

The locksets I have seen so far are super expensive (in the $350-500 range).

I was wondering if there is something I can find that it cheaper. Or if I can use standard lockset components from HD/Lowes. For instance, can I buy two of the following and in any way convert one of these to dummy lockset.

Looking forward to reply

Sure, you could easily just not install the bolt and latch from that lockset in your dummy door. I assume your dummy door is secured in place separately at top/bottom?
Thank you @huesman. The inactive door is secured from the top and the bottom. I will try this approach. So should I just remove the bolt and the latch from the following before installing it on the inactive door. Of course, I will have a complete set installed on the active set as well.

Yeah, just omit parts H, J, and K from the latch, and B, E, and F from the deadbolt.

Your dummy handle will probably just rotate freely, and the exterior thumb lever may flop some, but you can probably figure a way to keep those from moving, e.g. a crap ton of hot glue or construction glue. :)

If you really care, you may be able to source a deadbolt blanking plate to use on the exterior instead of the actual lock, but it may not match the fancy shape of the bolt.
