In my garage I have 3 existing 48" fluorescent light fixtures. Each fixture has a run of Romex running from the fixture to a single junction box. This box also has the cable from the switch, so there are a total of 4 cables entering the box.

I want to add an additional 2 light fixtures that will be on the same circuit. This is a 20a circuit that has GFCI-protected outlets in the garage and is used primarily for a couple tool battery chargers, plus occasional shop-vac and air compressor.

What would be the best way to install these lights? Would I just make 2 more runs of Romex from the new fixtures to the jct box?

Thank you.

Like said before it would not end up in series, it would take a little thinking and creativity to make something in series in your house wiriring. Most things are setup to be done in parellel, like your plugs for example.
