I plan on adding an outdoor receptacle for landscape lighting, holiday lighting, etc... and I just wanted to run down my plan before I get started, to see if anyone can correct or point out any mistakes before they happen.
I am going to tap into a non-GFCI receptacle in my finished basement, and run Romex up through the drywall, and out the wood siding.
I am going to place a plastic outlet box, the "remodel" kind, flush mounted in the wood siding, and run the cable through the box, hooked up to a GFCI receptacle.
I am going to cover the receptacle with an "in-use" plastic box.
Is this it?
thanks for any and all responses.
