Adding a third light

Do all lights have to wired in daisy chain style? Or can two lights connect to the switched one.

Let's say I have lights B and C right now. B is wired to the light switch and C is chained to B. I want to add light A. Can I also chain A to B?

Yes you can, but you must make sure the box is big enough for the extra wire connections.
