Hi,

I am adding 3 outlets to a concrete wall in the basement. I have run the wiring from the box to the other side of the basement where I would like the outlets. The wiring is run through the floor joists.

I had a few questions

1. What, if any, are the rules about wires crossing over each other? I ask because there is a lot of other wiring close to the box and I was not sure if I am able to cross over other wires.

2. Do I need to use junction boxes at the top of the concrete wall where the wires will drop down and start to run down the wall? Or can I just slide the wire right into some conduit where it will run down the wall? Each outlet has it's own wire directly back to the box and each wire will be in it's own piece of conduit.

Thank you guys for looking and for any help. Any other tips or suggestions are welcome as well!

Thanks for the quick reply!

I have one additional question:

I know there is a limit on the number of 90 degree bends in conduit between junction boxes. But does that same rule apply to the wire before it enters the conduit?

The limit on the number of bends in conduit has to do with the fact that you can't pull the wire if you have too many bends. You can bend wire or cable outside of your conduit as much as you need, just don't bend it so tight you break it.
