I have a EWC NCM-300 3 zone control panel and i have 3 motor dampers but 2 of the are connected together since i have only 2 thermostats, i was thinking of adding a third thermostat so i could rewire the zone control to control each zone independently however i dont have any wires passed through.

Is any one familiar with any portable wireless transmitter/receiver thermostat?

I was thinking of adding a receiver downstairs in the mechanical room next to the panel while the wireless stat would transmit to the receiver to open/close the damper when turning on

Honeywell has a good wireless thermostat kit..

But I would get a Honeywell EIM and Honeywell Redlink VisionPro thermostat. It is a better thermostat and a dollar cheaper. It also has wireless capability and offers more options.

Are you sure that making those 2 areas their own zone. Won't make one or the other too small of a zone for your furnace or A/C.
