Hello. I have wooden kitchen drawers that have undermount slides (2, not the center 1 undermount slide), and I'd like to make them soft close without completely replacing the slides. I cannot, however, find anything on the internet to do this. All of the retrofit options are for side, etc mounted slides.
Anyone know of anything out there that I can use?

This is similar to a recent thread on how to add soft close to old style cabinet hinges.

I advised it can't be done.

You could probably find some kind of damper (shock absorber) if you looked hard enough. But your existing drawer slides would still be missing a mechanism to pull the drawer closed against the damper at a constant rate. If you find a youtube video of a soft close drawer, note how the last couple of inches the drawer is slowly pulled in. On soft close slides, there is a spring in the mechanism to produce that action.

It won't work.
