Hi, I want to replace my old 24V AC UV Light. When I took out the old one I noticed that it has a two male prong and two female slot adapter. The ones I looked up seem to all have a four prong adapter to connect with. Any thoughts on this? I'll attach screen shots.

Also what length of UV light do you guys suggest? Are there any limitations to the length of the light?

There is a lot of debate whether they are snake oil or actually work. I would spend a few more $$ and get a Honeywell as they are one of the top brands when it comes to HVAC parts and equipment. They will never sell a product that does not actually work because of their reputation being at stake.

I second the Honeywell equipment, I've had mine installed for 6 yrs now. Mine is 120v. I'm not sure what yours is.
I use it to keep mold from growing on the coil. For that it works well.

Length of light is usually limited to the size of the duct. Length is less important than watts.

I looked into this seriously during the uptick with covid. I found a correlation between watts and time that it took to kill covid that I decided was not worth the effort when installed in a moving air stream. I never considered UV a need for the area Iive in.

Thanks guys! Any insight on the adapter? Like I mentioned above most of the ones I'm seeing online only have a four prong adapter at the end.
I'm not quite sure what adapter you are looking for?

Is it that round (plug) with the two males and two females you need to replace?
Does it just unplug from the wire to the bulb?
If so what does the other end look like?

Depends on the manufacturer. More prongs does not mean it is better. There is a lot of debate on the frequency of the light and the way it covers the AC coil ( pattern ) as to whether they are really effective. I am sure Honeywell has done a lot of lab research and studies as to their effectiveness unlike the no name or cheaper brands. Point is you get what you pay for. If you want guaranteed results you have to pay for proven technology IMO.

I figure I need a light that has the two male and two female adapter because that's where it plugs into to the power source.

It doesn't unplug from the wire to the bulb only at the end where the adapter is.

So your looking to replace the bulb with the attached wire and need it to fit into the power source via that adapter on the end of the wire?

These bulbs only last one year at best as far as uv effectivness goes, just because it still lights doesn't mean it's doing any good anymore.

How old is the bulb and perhaps the power supply has the company name on it?

Yeah I'm looking to replace the bulb with the attached wire.

The bulb is probably very old. It doesn't even light anymore. The company I found is Bio Fighter Lightstick.

Looks like looking up the company actually gave me an option! Thank you Steve
There are places to get a replacement here is one at amazon...

At that price I would get a honeywell unit, and get the replacement bulbs @ $12.50
That I listed in my previous post.
