i have a goodman central ac unit 2.5 tons, it is haveing a problems, it is not able to cool down my house in the heat of the day. the freeon is okay, but it is running low presssuer on the high side 3/8 line . verry high on the low side 3/4 line yet not getting cold or even sweeting on the low side.

okay on my unit. on the low pressure side, the large line the cold line it is not geting cold and the pressure is running high. on my high pressure side the 3/8 line it is warm but running a very low pressure.:laughing: :laughing::laughing::furious:







how'bout some periods so we can make sense of your post.

What do you interpret as the lo and hi side? Would be helpful to know so we can direct you.

okay, i dont have my gauges in front of me but this is what i have wrote down in my log book. at 9 pm on the low side it read 98 lbs on the high side it was 210 lbs.
room temp was 80.5 air temp coming out of air duct was 69.8 :censored:

Gee, your right...it's broke!

Try a little manners friend. I don't need the 'tude when I'm giving free advice this time of the morning. I asked those question to try to help you but you can get nasty with the trolls who frequent here.

210 PSIG head pressure is a saturation temp below ouotdoor ambient.
A restricting liquid line filter drier installed inside the condenser can cause that.
Or a low charge.

You should take all readings again.
And record indoor drybuld temp and wet bulb temp.
Out door drybulb temp.
Head pressure, and liquid line temp.
Vapor pressure and vapor line temp.

Entering and leaving wetbulb and dry bulb temps at the coil(not at registers).

I hope evrything is okay now, I fixed the two holes in the duct work yesterday. At the time every thing was running realy high and hot.
But now the presure is good, it is low side 78 high side is 270.:yes:
the line temp is 57 the supper freeze temp was 47 that is a 10' diferanace,:yes: that is the best I belive it is going to get the outside temp was 92 last night it is 95 now at 10:30 central time.
I think the house just had to cool off it got up to 87 in the house for two days.
