if it over heated and sut off is ther a reset switch somewhere?

Some compressors have internal limits that will reset after cooling down.
If it does re-set find out why it tripped off.
Maybe the condenser fan is not working or there may be a voltage or capacitor problem.
Or the compressor may be shot.

Can take up to 24 hrs for the compressor to cool down and reset the thermal overload switch buried in the windings.

I do have question in regard with the new motor ? first my old fan motor had three wire black, purple, orange & my new motor has four black, white, brown & brown/white come with new 5mfd capacitor I want to know the connection of the fan motor to capacitor, to contactor & the yellow wire from compressor?
