ac always running

Can anyone tell me why my condenser fan and compressor run continously? My set point is set to 76 and the temp. reads 73. I had just replaced the motor to the condenser fan and the control module/board in the furnace box. Is it the T-stat or a bad wiring job on my behalf?

you may have a constant 24 volts from the furnace or the stat to the condenser. the red and white wires, usually used from condenser, do not go on the r terminal of either the stat or the furnace, furnace usually being where they are tied into and not the stat. the blue or yellow coming from the furnace to the y terminal of the stat, the cooling terminal which brings on the condenser, does not go onto the r terminal.

r is constant power.
