I've been farting around with this all day. I think I've got it.

I went to look at macro lenses for the camera and a reasonable one costs $700!!

I was reading on the net that all you really have to do is reverse the lens and build an extension for it. I did my extension out of ABS and a few couplers. Pretty cheap with fairly good results:

Nice homemade extension tubes.

Something else you can do if you have 2 lenses. Get a reversal ring. It's just a little adapter that screws into your filter threads, and allows you to screw another lens onto that adapter with it's filter threads so that the front element of each lens is facing each other.

Do you have Lightroom and/or Photoshop? I've recently posted a tutorial on the Pentax board for stacking focus for macro shots.

Serious hobbyist. I was kind of hoping that by posting my pics, Bob would tell more about his gear. I've only ever shot Pentax, and I see Bob is using Canon. It's always interesting to hear about and see what lenses the other guys are using. Care to tell, Bob?
