I had my ac repaired yesterday.the tech said a valve was blocking the freon .he said he replaced the valve. removed freon and replaced freon.it was showing 88 degrees in the house.this was at 2 o'clock or so.its now 7 am its only down to 77 upstairs and 76 down.this seems a little long to me. if it was fixed it should be down to 73 where we set it or will it take longer to cool it down?do i need to call them back out? thank you in advance for your help.

The system is a 99 comfortmaker im guessing around 5 ton.since the house is 2200 sqr ft .has 9ft ceilings.and a 18 ft foyer ceiling.it is a two story house with one return one ac system for both levels.

What was the outdoor temp?

Although usually. 17 hours (with most of that time being night time)should be enough time, if the unit is sized right.

He may not have the charge correct.

Call them back.

Is this a heat pump?

Where did the tech work? Outside on the condenser or inside

Kind'a sounds like you got a young tech
