99 Merc Sable, 68K. AC seems to be cooling fine, but noticed other day that comp cycles about every 30 secs. Right now outside temp has been 85-90 at these times. ....... Any concern? Cycling normal?

I know I should check the pressure, but not so sure how reliable my 'shade tree' gauge is. ...... And also too lazy, if I can get out of it via an answer here.

Cycling is normal, to prevent ice buildup. Not sure 30 second cycle is though.

it will cycle every 10 seconds if your low on fluid. after a recharge - 30 seconds might be typical

if your low on fluid the "cooling power" will be low - and usually means "leaky seals" (cheap little seals at every joint that keep the refigerant "in")
