I am replacing a shed roof to an addition to my old farmhouse. The roof is 20 ft by 40 ft and using southern pine 20 ft rafters. The roof will be OSB covered by metal roofing material. 5/12 pitch. I live at the FL/GA boarder so there is no snow load. Should they be 8 inch or 10 inch boards. The originals are 8 in Cypress.

Thanks

Sorry for the duplicate post. I tried to delete the one here in Carpentry but could not delete it. County building dept is not helpful. The woman there had no idea. I looked up rafter tables and it said 10 in but this was for the NE.
