One of the two support posts for the roof overhang above the front patio is rotting at the base due to water penetration over time. The post is sunk into a 6 inch concrete base, do I have to replace the post , which is a major job that would entail breaking the tile and concrete patio at the point of entry, putting a temprrary support to hold up the roof extension and tying a new post into the roof section or is there another way to fix it ?
