I wired a 3 way switch and single pole switch in same box, 3 way switch is fine, but i used what i thought was an always hot wire to wire up a swtich for an outside light, not thinking that the wires from the 3 way switch are sometimes hot sometimes not depending on switches position.
So the outside light only works when the 3 way switch is in certain positions. i can only guess to run another cable from another source to power the outside light. Is this my only solution?
The power comes from the far 3 way switch, 12-3 cable goes to the box that i have in question and 12-2 leaves to power the 2 lights. Then i have a 12-2 going out to the outside light.

You are correct.
If you have close by receptacle you can tap into that to power the light.
