3" pot lighting do i need in a 5 feet low basment 12X22 this is for a model train room

how many 3" pot lights do i need in a 5 feet low basment 12X22 room. this is for a model train room,The track will be 3 feet of the ground

It's a 12X22 crawl space with a 5' ceiling, and you're putting the train track 2' from the ceiling? That doesn't seem like a very good idea. I doubt any kind of lighting will work well in that application. Why not put the track 1' from the floor, and use fluorescent fixtures? It will still be uncomfortable and annoying, but much better I would think. Can lights are intended to be mounted far from the illuminated surface - like 5-6 feet at least.

A height of 5' isn't a basement, it's a crawl space. Seems a very poor place for an electric train setup. Is it a conditioned space (heated/cooled)? If not, your trains won't last long. Are there any issues with dampness? If so, your trains won't last long. What sort of access is there? How do you propose to get construction materials down there? Are there receptacles down there?

In my opinion, this project is simply a very bad idea.
