Me and my wife purchased this house about 6 years ago. Well I have been DIY crazy lately driven by both lack of $$ and passion. I wanted to do some maintenance on my gas boiler and water hear this weekend. I read up on it and watched some videos so I was gonna start with a flush of my water heater and maybe replace the anode rod. Well I was just downstairs and there was an inspection sticker on there(see pics)
. Not sure what to do but from what I read hot water heaters usually last about 20 years(this is a Rheem). The heat and hot water work fine but I assume this will be crapping out in the near future. Should I still do the maintenance or because its so old it might do more harm than good? Thanks.
