I've installed the following :
2 x 1000 watt, 240V baseboard heaters on dedicated circuit
240 volt dual pole breaker
Logic:
Total AMPs drawn = 8.33 on 15AMP circuit
Used 14 /2 gage wire
80% rule means circuit (wire) can safely carry 12 AMP minimum (my heaters draw total 8.33 AMPS)
I'm being told by more than one person that I should have used 12/2. All information gathered states that I am well within spec.
Comments welcome and appreciated.
