This unit keeps blowing the starting capacitor for the compressor.

Thus far, in the 8 years I have had it, I have replaced 4 starting capacitors. It uses a Packard # PMJ88 88-108 MFD 125V capacitor.

Is there any other fix other than continuing to replace the same capacitor?

Do you keep replacing it or does a technician?

I would be trying to find out why?

I can tell you that in over 20 years of refrigerator repairs, I have not once replaced a start capacitor because it was bad. Post the model of your refrig as most refrig do not even use a start capacitor.

Never saw one go. but that's way too high for a refrig. should be -/+ 10-15uf.

I have replaced many of those 88-108 start caps. Most around 30 years ago. Actually carried them on the truck.

Check the amps to compressor. Must be a old unit.
