..turned on wipers today and I heard a muffled poof sound and the wipers stopped working.
Checked the fuse and it's okay.
What may be the common problem??
Linkage arm came off the motor pin!?
Broken part??
Please advise.
There are bushings that deteriorate and crumble. Then the linkage falls out. Does the motor still work? It's real easy to take the cowl off and access the wiper assembly. I look at NAPA and don't see the bushings. I have a few in my tool box as I buy them dozen. Haven't seen that in a awhile though. But first we need to find put if the motor still works.:vs_coffee:
Thanks Brain.
I purchased the whole transmission and swapped it out.
Turned out I could of just bought the metal clip that fits over the shaft coming from the motor.
Will keep the old one for parts.
