I live in Georgia. I have no tree's, and all windows have blinds. Forced air with two seperate units/thermostats.....Can someone advise me on setting my temps during day/night and for up and down stairs?
The house is 3100 sq ft. down 2300 up 800 The center of the house is open 18' ceilings about 22' wide which are foyer, living room, and upstairs hallway. A bedroom on either side upstairs, all of the vents are in the bedrooms upstairs along with the thermostat. 3 returns one in hallway and each room. (should I leave doors shut?)
I set upstairs at 78 degress from 8-5P and downstairs 76. At 5P upstairs goes to 76 and downstairs to 74. At 9P i set upstairs to 75 and downstairs to 73. Master is on 1st floor
Is all this changing good or bad? Are my units struggling or is it saving some $ for the 8 hours during the day? Should I just leave at one temp.
When it's 95+ outside it takes 3 hours to catch up.
THanks
