I recently had to remodel my power room and the toilet I purchased was a 12" rough-in and apparently space is designed for a 14" or 15"" rough-in. so now my new toilet is sitting about 4 inches from the wall.

my questions are: other then how it looks is there any issue with this set up.? Question 2 is: if the back of the toilet is sitting 4 inches away from the finished wall does it move the bowl of the toilet that much closer as well?

I have a small power room and just make it now with my knees at the opposite wall.

Yes, moving the drain opening to 12" will position the toilet next to the wall--and you will regain the 4" of leg room.

One of the plumbers might know if 15" center toilets are still being made.
