Will 12-2 WG wire work for MINI SPLIT outdoor unit to breaker box?

Never heard of that brand. But this is in the manual you posted.

Yes in the manual it says 10 AWG and 12 AWG for the bigger unit so 12 would work for this one I assume. I was wondering if 12AWG is the same as the name "12-2 WG" (which is all i could find at home depot).

The bigger the unit the bigger the gauge wire needed. The smallest unit, the 30, needs the smallest gauge wire, at 12.
WG is just a term for wire plus ground.
What model are you installing?

It says 10 AWG (American Wire Gauge) for the 36,000 BTU unit, which is the one in your link. 10 AWG is heavier than 12 AWG. Get the 10 AWG and get a cable for 230v installations - 12/2 is usually for 110v installations.

The wire voltage rating should be fine.
All the big box stores sell wire that size.
Just remember, no romex outside. You’ll have to get the appropriate outdoor materials to run the wire in.

Cable for a 230v system is usually a 10/3, not a 10/2.
