Best deal of 2016 garage sales. 2 dollars for the chainsaw. Has no spark. Tried brand new plug, tried hitting with ether. This saw is designed with a toggle switch to shut down the saw.
Maybe my first try should be to by pass the switch. I have the exact same saw to swap parts.

A simple volt ohm can check the switch.
I also got lucky today, someone was cleaning out there garage and gave me a Stihl line trimmer, 6 tomato cages, golf clubs, a whole stack of 4 X 4's, a piece of metal art work and a couple year old push mower that he could not get started.
I donated the art work and golf clubs to the store to raise money for the fire dept. donated the 4 X 4's to my association to make some horse shoe pits, got the mower running and sold it, still need to work on the trimmer.

Lady want's me to just cut a few small trees down and offers to give me an old enclosed trailer with two flat tires to do the work.
I blow the tires up and get it home.
I'm out in the yard pressure washing it and the guy across the street comes over and ask what I'm going to do with it, sell it, he hands me $400.00, I sign over the title.
Pretty good pay for a $100.00 job.

Was in the middle of a kitchen remodel, guy gives me all the old appliances. I call a landlord friend of mine. He comes out bought everything. It was a decent amount of money, especially since I did not have to deal with the labor of moving it.

That's the first thing I do when it's something heavy or I'm going to be stuck storing it.
Think of someone that can use it.
I used to live on a 37' boat.
Guy comes up and tells me he will pay me $100.00 to come switch two boat's he owns to two different trailers, and he will give me one of the boats, trailer and all.
I ride down to see what he's talking about and the one he was giving away had a new depth sounder and new fuel tank.
I knew someone that was looking for a small boat cheap so he did the switch, I got the depth sounder and the new fuel tank plus the $100.00 and all I did was make a phone call.
The 37" boat I was living on I bought for $10.00.
The owner would show up about every 4 year's and would be all upset because it would not start.
He was standing on the dock yelling the first person that shows up with $10.00 dollars can have this boat, gave him the money and his wife showed up later with the title.
