Does such a thing exist? I searched the forums but I was unable to find an answer.
My plumber put in a new shower and plumbed a second shower head, from a T, after the on/off valve. He installed a shutoff valve in the line but it doesn't shut off 100% so it drips cold water whenever the shower is on but it's not in use. You can improve this by running the water from that head, until it heats up and drips hot water while you shower. :glare:
I've found another valve that bills itself as 100% shut off but it comes with a price tag of $40.
I was thinking that if I could find a 1/4 turn valve, it might make a cheaper alternative. In lieu of that, are there any better options for me?
I am aware that this is unorthodox and against code in some areas. However, the cost of retrofitting a second flow control would be cost prohibitive.
