I would add some construction glue between the layers and nail every 6”-12” to truly connective 2 layers.

1/2 + 1/2 subfloor?
Quick question, given that it is installed correctly, is a 1/2 inch subfloor plus 1/2 inch plywood underlayment the equivalent of a single 1 inch subfloor as far as structural strength goes?
