Is there a CODE that states where the street side main gas turn off should be located within the home?? I could not find anything about location. My situation is that we want to put our manifold on the middle wall of basement to save on the length of our CSST runs. The 1” line enters the sill plate, runs 19’ through a bay and then elbows down to a shut off valve, then tees into the manifold. Should there be a shut off installed between the first length of pipe running inside the bay?

Re: “Street side” has shut off location

Could it be an AHJ thing but do gas companies want to see a shut off for the gas when it enters your home? I am aware that the gas company has a shut off installed on their side of the meter but where does the gas user need to have a gas cock installed? Or do they?
At the fixture, as far as I know, might be different in different places
