I put wood countertops in the kitchen — sealed them very well (or so I thought) with Waterlox. There’s one spot at the sink where the wood was seamed together where water is obviously getting in. Can I spot seal it? Do I use Waterlox or something else? I want to make sure it doesn’t get worse.

To put this in context (and so y'all will forgive my lack of woodwork knowledge) I am a housewife but would love to consider myself a handyman part time! I want to make a wood countertop for my kitchen island. I found a company that makes "DIY wood countertops" and I want to try my hand at it...
