I have a front load whirlpool washer. I can wash a bunch of loads fine and then for no reason it won’t spin out the load. I then have to rinse and spin again and often that will take 3-5 times to finally work. Then it’s back to working. WTF! Is something broken or going out? And if so...

I am having an issue with my Samsung washer hitting the side of the drum and not finishing the spin cycle. I believe I need to change the suspension rods, but the back of the washer is different from what I have seen on my past washers. I don't see the screws to lift the top? Pictures...

I have this pipe in my basement with a rag jammed in the end. Not sure what the purpose of this is for but I am wanting to put a washer down there and wondering if I can remove the rag and have the drain hose from the washer go into it.

Hello! Looking for some help tracking this down - washer squeaks loudly during agitation. If I push down on bottom of the tub to put more weight on it the squeaking stops temporarily. Same if it's a super heavy load. If there is a light load, it squeaks. Thank you in advance for the help! Ryan

Hi everyone. First time posting here and hoping to get some guidance. I’m in Oregon. I’m moving the washer and dryer from the basement to the first floor. Electrical, water lines, and venting is all pretty straightforward. It’s the drain that I’m a bit stuck on. I’m hoping to use the existing...

Today the cold water line on our washer broke at the coupling and sprayed water everywhere. I noticed the line had alot of corrosion and green build up. Clearly the rust ate through the water line. However, the ends of the lines that attach to the water are spotless. Why would the corrosion only...

Hello, looking to confirm that this drip might likely be caused by the tub seal gasket? Are there any other seals we should look at replacing? Drips are coming once every 5 seconds or so, more quickly when the load is full. (Red circle around a single drop of water from a video freeze frame.)...

Good Morning All! I am in need of replacing a cheaply made BRADA top load 'HE' washer. My two options are for a used older Maytag belt drive A506 or a direct drive Kitchen Aid. Which should I go for?

GE GTW680BSJ0WS I had the 2 water supply valves turned off when I started the washer. Got the “H2O Supply” message on the display. As usual, I turn off washer, turn on water, turn on washer; and all is good. But, this time: The control panel does not respond to any buttons, the water pump...

I live in a three-level apartment building on the bottom floor. Whenever my upstairs neighbor drains their washer, water comes out of our standpipe and soaks the area around the washer and dryer. If I don't catch it quickly with the shop-vac then the water will make it to the carpet and soak it...

My Maytag Centennial washer was making a hideous noise sometimes while agitating, especially during the rinse cycle. It also had a weird plastic sawdust smell. I troubleshot the problem and the pulley wheel was rubbing on the cover. In addition, evidently a cork got stuck in there and it was...

I am trying to use a Kenmore Elite (model 796.29002000) washer motor for another application where I need the motor to just run in spin mode. I'm planning to remove all of the electronics and hard wire directly to the motor. There appears to be two electrical connectors to the motor. One has a...

I am planning a bathroom remodel which will involve the installation of a stacking washer/dryer in the apartment where I am. I want to put the washer in a closet which is not close enough to the drain stack to let gravity do its job. Can I use an ejector pump to service just the washer without...

I've got a Frigidaire Gallery front-loading washer that I bought in 2005. It runs great, but today when it reached the final spin cycle, at the highest speed, the basket began to shake violently inside the tub (loaded and unloaded). It sounded and looked like it was banging around inside the...

2015 house First off we go by the national code in my area. I am in the process of wiring my basement getting it ready for the future to finish it. It will be a 5 year process of doing this in case that makes a difference in code between now and when it is done. First question I am trying to...

We have been having a problem with the washer flooding into our kitchen sink after it drains for a while. It's just a little bit, but it peeks up through the kitchen drain. I ripped the drywall off behind our washer a year or so ago after we had a flood from the washer. I ran a large motorized...

I have a 6 year old Samsung washer - WF428AAL which shut down mid cycle (leaving clothes wet and door locked) several times over the past 2 months and timed out. In order to restart I shut off the power and reset. Last week it died again mid cycle with water in drum, during a load of towels. It...

I don't remember when this started happening (we have been here 5 years) but we keep having a problem with our washer drain overflowing. We have had professionals come out with a snake 3 times, and done it ourselves a couple of times. Each time it's only a temporary solution which lasts for a...

Our six year old Kenmore model 110.29522800 washer fills but will not start. It just buzzes for a few seconds and stops then repeats. If I move the dial manually to the next function it still just buzzes. So far I have replaced the lid switch, direct drive coupling, and capacitor. I also...

Hi folks. I need this bolt to go through this washer. It's just a bit too narrow to fit. I tried using a hand drill and it just threads and doesn't actually cut anything. I tried a Dremel to bore it out, but that doesn't seem to be working at all, surprisingly. I have a drill press, but I...
