I have installed a battery backup sump pump for peace of mind should my primary pump go out. We are leaving the country for a few weeks starting tomorrow, and I wanted a backup solution in place. I've attached a drawing of how I installed it. I have two primary concerns/questions. 1. After...

I live in Kingston Ontario Canada. We live in a neighbourhood that has poor drainage. We are the lowest point of the road. Half the road has had a separation of storm line from sanitary line. The separation stopped just before our house and is scheduled to be done next year. Last fall we had a...

Old sump pump stopped working...not sure when but a month or so. We don't have a lot of water so it rarely came on anyway. Checked piping to ensure it was clear buy pushing smaller hose through it. Bought new pump and installed it...filled pit with about 6 inches of water...pit emptied quickly...
