  2. Attic was built to be living space, are the trusses strong enough to keep it so?

    I have a Cape Cod style house that was built in 1945 with an attic as a living space. The trusses are 2x6, 16" apart, and don't span more than 15' across. Do I need to reinforce these trusses or should they continue to hold up? If so, how should I reinforce them?

    As you see the tool box that I hired a while back, left my attic like this. :mad: who does something like this... lol. That's why he's a lame dull tool . Can't you cut that 2X4 that is stopping the duct from laying flat? I'm only planning on sawing enough space to fit the thing so I wont trip...
