Peeled off the faux brick backsplash and smoothed out the walls. My mom was thinking about tiling the backsplash, but since she wasn't sure, I "
first big change - Replaced the laminate countertop that had burn marks with a new laminate countertop.
Have stripped off the wallpaper and painted the walls beige.

Yuck - what is sad is that my grandfather put the backsplash in for my mom and the floor used to be the color you see under the table.
