Metal Grate over Drainage Hole

I had a local metal worker make a grate to cover a drainage hole in my small "patio" area. The drainage hole was a tripping hazard -- it is a foot deep (hard to tell in the photos) and patio area is very small -- only nine feet from the retaining wall to the back of the house and that hole
