Copper roofing?

I own a house build in 1863. There are multiple small second story porches with living spaces below. I need to replace the roof material which is doubling as the porch floor on these small porches. There is rolled asphalt there now which is not really suitable for traffic and I have no idea what the original material was. I am thinking of installing copper due to durability. These decks are only approx 7x5 foot. Is it possible to just use a single sheet, or would there be expansion/attachment problems? Is copper not a good material for this purpose? If not, what should I use that would hold up to traffic? Thanks in advance guys!

Re: Copper roofing?

Copper would be a great option, if you never,or rarely walked on it. It would need to be flat locked, and isn't a cheap option.
If the door threshold is high enough off the roof, you could get a regular flat roof and use walkpads.
Otherwise the trafficable Pvc, posted above is probably your best bet.
