Premixed Grout??


#1 Would you use it
#2 Should it be sealed.

Any advice. Is being applied to slate backsplash.

Depends on if it is the premixed crap sold at home centers or the premixed premium urethane grouts now on the market.

Premixed crap - NO WAY!
Urethane premixed - Absolutely yes!

Be careful using any pre-mixed grout on any stone surface, especially slate. Go slow, do a very small area at one time, clean it thoroughly, do another small area, clean it thoroughly, etc, etc.

Thanks for reply. We brought it at Home Depot. Called Simplegrout. Have you heard of it?

Take it back---You will be happier with a conventional grout --The slate needs to be sealed any way so a cement based grout will be fine.
