The tile I chose for the kitchen backsplash has bullnose tiles with a single edge but no corner pieces available. How do I make a corner piece so the bullnose edge is on both the side and top of the corner tile? I think I would cut 2 pieces on the diagonal but I can't picture it and I want it to look right. I am new to tiling, this is my first tile project. Thanks.
I posted this in the wrong place so I apologise if you already read this.
I am new to tiling, this is my first project. The tile I chose has single edge bullnose pieces availabe but no corner pieces. How do I make one for a corner? Do I take 2 pieces and cut in 1/2 on the diagonal to make 2 bullnose edges. I think I am right but I can't picture it. I want it to be right and not look sloppy. The tiles are all 4 x 4.
Thanks.
You could take two of the edge bullnose and cut them at a 45 degree angle to the corner. Just make sure you watch out for what corner you cut to. Then put them together and bam bull nose corner.
That was sort of what I was thinking would work but I was not sure it was the right way. Even though I am a newbie, we have invested too much to have the final piece look cheap. Thanks for your reply and help.
Thanks. At least now I know I am on the right track.
